How did Disc Filtration System Work?

A Disc Filtration System runs in two simple states: filtration and automatic backwash. During filtration, water flows through a compressed stack of polymer discs whose interlocking diagonal grooves create a 3D depth path, capturing fibers, algae, and sticky fines while keeping pressure loss low and flow stable. When a preset differential-pressure or timer threshold is reached, the controller actuates hydraulic 3-way valves to release the stack and reverse the flow; micro-channels open, solids are flushed out, and modules are cleaned one at a time so the main line never stops. Skids scale easily—typically 2–6 parallel units on 2″/3″/4″ mains (compact T-type for branches, H-type for higher flows)—and integrate with hydrocyclones/media filters, minimizing water, energy, and maintenance for long, unattended operation.
