ARKA Disc Filtration System

A Disc Filtration System runs in two simple states: filtration and automatic backwash. During filtration, water flows through a compressed stack of polymer discs whose interlocking diagonal grooves create a 3D depth path, capturing fibers, algae, and sticky fines while keeping pressure loss low and flow stable. When a preset differential-pressure or timer threshold is reached, the controller actuates hydraulic 3-way valves to release the stack and reverse the flow; micro-channels open, solids are flushed out, and modules are cleaned one at a time so the main line never stops. Skids scale easily—typically 2–6 parallel units on 2″/3″/4″ mains (compact T-type for branches, H-type for higher flows)—and integrate with hydrocyclones/media filters, minimizing water, energy, and maintenance for long, unattended operation.

Agriculture — Drip Irrigation River Intake

Spring drawdown brings algae threads and silt that quickly blind screens. A 3" H-Type disc filtration skid (100–130 µm) runs depth filtration during the night irrigation window; when ΔP rises, staged backwash cleans one module at a time, so the main line never stops. Emitters stay open, pressure holds, and field crews shift from daily flushing to scheduled checks.

Industrial — Cooling Tower Side-Stream

Circulating water carries slime and fibers that raise exchanger ΔP and chemical demand. A 3"/4" H-Type disc system continuously removes organics from a side-stream; DP-triggered backwash restores pressure in minutes without taking the loop offline. Result: lower fouling rate, longer cleaning intervals, steadier approach temperatures.

Landscape — Golf Course Lake Pump Station

Algal blooms and grass clippings clog sprinkler nozzles during peak season. A compact 2–4 unit T-Type disc skid on the 2" branch filters lake water and auto-backwashes by group, keeping sprinklers at set pressure through night cycles. Grounds teams spend less time clearing heads and more time on course conditioning.
